BALI NEWS
According to the Balinese calendar a month is 35 days. Every 6 months (210 days), Balinese celebrate one of the most important ceremonies, Galungan, the victory of Goodness over badness. Balinese make sacrifices and offering to the gods, in all sincerity. The Galungan day is based on the myth of the triumph of Indra god (symbol of goodness) in the battle against king Mayadanawa (the symbol of badness and evil spirit) who once govern Bali. He was a very powerful, greedy, ruthless, driven evil spirits. Indra god came upon earth to set Bali free from its power and save Balinese people. The all ceremony held in 5 days. Three days before Galungan day, people begin to prepare the necessities for the ceremony. They collect fruits, women start making offerings from young palm leaves. This day is about maintaining the purity of the soul. Two days before Galungan, offerings are made out of palm leaves and different cakes out of rice. This day, people keep on maintaining awareness, patience and the purity of the soul in order to subdue or control the demons.
The day before Galungan, Balinese sacrify animals like chickens, ducks or pig and cook them in various traditional dishes. It is the strongest day when evils occupy the world and human beings. Hari Galungan, Balinese people wearing traditional dress go to the family temple, village temple, and other holy place. They will pray the whole day and night.
The day after Galungan, Hindu community visit their relative and neighbours to give and ask forgiveness…

FEEDING BEAHAVIOR

Most of the Polyclads are active carnivorous predators and scavenger and can be feeding on various sessile invertebrates. Ascidians are one of their preferred preys.
REPRODUCTION

Since the visual sense of Polyclads is quite primitive, chemical compounds are thought to play a key role for finding food and mating partners.
Generally, Polyclads are hermaphroditic having both male and female reproductory organs. They copulate in a quite rude way to engage in mutual cross-fertilization. The reproduction is described as hypodermic insemination. The two adults worm stab each other anywhere, sometime causing considerable damages, to penetrate the other, injecting the spermatozoa. Worms with wounds are able to heal in 24 hours. Fertilized eggs are deposited as an irregular shape egg mass containing a few hundred eggs, which are tightly packed in a single layer. Often, they can be found underneath boulders nearby colonial ascidians. After about 10 days, transparent larvae hatch and enter the planktonic phase and swim around few days prior to settling and metamorphosing. The metamorphosis of the larvae can be trigger by chemical compounds produced by the favourite food of the species to make sure the place would provide enough food for juvenile organism to grow.
